BCI under contract with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Atlantic City NJ is looking to fill a full time Human Factors Engineer, Senior to support advanced concepts and technology development to the Aviation Weather Research Office

Job Location: William J Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ 08405 (in Pomona)
Job Start Date: November 2018 

Shift: 8am – 5pm / M-F

Experience Required including Degree, Certifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Human Factors Psychology background and possess, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in Human Factors Psychology from an accredited college or university and 15 years relevant work experience, or a minimum of 10 years' experience with a master's degree from an accredited college or university.  Candidates should be able to work independently with minimum supervision, possess excellent technical writing skills, as well as communication skills. The position will require the development of human factor plans and procedures for test execution and the development of success criteria. Candidate must have experience in designing and prototyping user interfaces, including wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.  The position will require working with clients to elicit project requirements from customers, users, and stakeholders and the candidate will be, at times, responsible to make presentations to customers and stakeholders.

Description of Duties:

Provide Human Factors expertise to the FAA's Aviation Weather Research Office.

Travel Requirement: Travel to vendor and other FAA facilities for testing is required.

Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants must be US citizens. Applicants will be required to complete the FAA's Vendor Application Procedures (VAP) in which a portion of the process includes applicants being subjected to an investigation by FAA security in order to be deemed eligible for public trust or sensitive positions.
