BCI is seeking a candidate to fill a full time position located in Dahlgren, VA. Candidate will be responsible for providing support to Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) 05 Interoperability Warfare Certification, providing technical expertise in Configuration Management (CM), planning, and task execution. The candidate will join with a USN / contractor integrated team dedicated to providing independent Interoperability quality assessments of U.S. Navy developmental combat systems computer programs. The testing will be primarily focused upon Strike Group Interoperability of surface combatants, related derivatives, and select support tools as they relate to the combat system testing environment.

Experience Required: This position requires 8-10 years of experience in technical and analytical support roles within multiple disciplines including system infrastructure operations, analysis, engineering, and design. A minimum of 3 years Navy Combat System or Combat System Element Configuration Management is required. 3-5 years previous experience working in areas that require scheduling numerous tasks across many resources would be beneficial   Experience in combat systems software certification, ship schedules, and deployment cycles is a requirement of this position. Interoperability (Tactical Data Links and Networks) experience is a major plus. Candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and some working knowledge of Access and Project, as well as experience with Adobe Office applications. A formal degree is desired. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, are a must. Successful candidate must be detail oriented and analytical.  

Description of Duties

In support of Warfare Certification, develop, maintain, and publish the NAVSEA 05 Strike Group Interoperability (IOP) Program Management Schedule covering Aegis Weapon Systems Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), and Littoral Combat System (LCS) ships and associated Interoperability Development Certification Tests. Obtain, review, and manage Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for applicability to interoperable defined criteria. Provide CM support for IOP applicable elements and associated software integration, certification, and multi-site test events. Interpret collected reports and schedules and make recommendations to meet the Principal for Interoperability requirements and goals. Consolidate and generate activity highlights and summarize to resource sponsors. Identify and assist with the collection of relevant data, maintain files and databases, analyze basic computer program performance and interpret government computer program specifications. Develop and modify multi-year integrated schedules to facilitate budget planning and resource scheduling. These schedules require consolidating schedule information from various program, testing, and certification schedules. Prepare and preserve briefs and official correspondence. Administrative support for schedule, draft agendas, and programmatic meetings.
